yeah i've been thinking about plotting a gap chart as well...
but like you say, it seems like a messy project
so i have never really started it, lol.
much simpler for me to use current indicators anyway
eg, last night i mentioned my fib DAX targets were around 4900 or 4850ish.
this was based on a 1 hourly chart, plotting the fibonacchi of the rally as shown.
(i have closed this now, but may look for a re-entry depending on how today pans out)
