Last year the former CEO in frustration entreated Brainchip shareholders to not call AKD1000 an accelerator as it was a System on a chip, a self contained processor a mini computer on a chip. Following this request I posted a lengthy post explaining the difference between AKD1000 and an accelerator which became a top rated post so I am sure most holders from last year will remember.
The tiny ML conference release from BRN above is now incorrectly in my opinion describing AKD1000 as being an ‘embedded accelerator’. This abandons the position that the former CEO was strongly advocating last year.
Why and when did this change occur. My observation is this descriptive change occurred about the same time as the deal with Renesas.
The Renesas article you have posted refers to an accelerated CNN.
Are these two things related I will leave it to others to decide.
