Hi marky. No BS in the article. High grade is happening everywhere (fmg iron bridge, simec gfg in whyalla, champion iron ore in Quebec etc) its the industry trend.
The upper Spencer gulf in SA is shallow. To get Cape class vessels filled they have to trans ship which is expensive. That is what simec do. The expense makes a premium product more attractive because you get more dollars per tonne trans shipped.
At the end of the day I hope you are right. If a saleable IO product can be made from tails at Vulcan it opens the door to a big industry because there are large tails dams at OD and Carapateena. So I really hope you are right.
