interesting position Bringiton. Looking at option expiry for Thursday for BHP there are a significant number of puts 33 and below expiring, whilst call volumes are $33 and above. Therefore a close on Thursday around $33 would seem ideal for the big boys. Would seem like a good trade to me
The timing of Goldmans upgrade of BHP/Rio on Friday would seem interesting. Would be good to know what their sold put position was for the coming expiry. I have worked at one of these mobs in trading, and trust me the so called Chinese walls are very flimsy
