The $75 million break fee will also have zero impact on the share price. CSL transfered the money to the US at an exchange rate of 87c so if they are forced to transfer back for a share buyback then at the current exchange rate they make about 12% in $AUD terms combined with the interest they have earnt on the cash in the bank over the last 9 months. That may change depending on any hedging they may have in place.
I see CSL either doing a share buyback or spending the cash on other purchases assuming the Talecris bid is blocked; I can not see them doing a special dividend.
