No body knows until you have a flow rate and wireline logs. Making any comparison with any other well in the meantime is spurious and misleading. One needs to know the pressure, the flow rate, the rate of decline in the flow rate, the porosity and the areal extent along with the net pay. Net pay in itself is an indicator that the well might be a success and is better than no net pay.
As to In Da Hoods comments the general view of novices is that gas floats on oil so the deeper you go you tend to find oil. The reverse is true. The deeper you go the hotter it gets and one seldom finds oil at depth.
I have not studied the graphical extent of the targeted zones, I have only seen the 2D seismic interpretation but the independant specialists report suggests a lot less resource than is intimated by many. I think around 147 BCF. In general one uses about $1m per BCF in ground for a value of gas, but of course that varies if its onshore, offshore, stranded or otherwise so if you want a round figure if they find 147BCF then thats around $150m NPV. The problem everybody has here is that a previous well named Dempsey hit a gas column but the porosity was poor so it wouldnt flow. That is partly why I dont hold (but watching) and I think that is why the SP is where it is. IMO.
