Bloodwynch, everyone needs to take all factors into account, however if GMG is to fail, that would be disastrous for the Australian property market in General and politically, can not be allowed to happen.
If you believe that it could happen, then you should get out of all property. If it does go under, then as a chain reaction many more will go thus destabilising security positions held by banks on most of their customers.
Whilst you have to consider the risks, I believe it is a manageable one.
The crux of this thread is to establish where the risk is higher, in GMG or IIF? There are many holders of both stocks
