I've used Airtasker. I think it's great tech. The app is seamless. My experience has been helping out a few people who needed odd tasks like one lady that needed to have her motorbike ridden to the servo for an inspection so she could get it registered she didn't have a licensed yet. Another for resume checking. It's almost a fine way to help some random stranger out and make a few bucks on the side. Great for negotiating rates below what a tradesman charges working for a company. So it's a great concept.
But it did 20 million last year. Look at the financials last 3 years. It hasn't been growing by 100 percent year on year. More like 30-50 percent. And forecast for 30 percent growth for next year.

So with such a large uncapped market why is Airtasker not growing by 500-1000 percent YoY. That's what I would expect if this was really taking off.
I haven't used Airtasker for a few years now. Last time I used it was getting some help to move a couch a short noticetwo indian guys rocked up and they were awesome. There is a lot of time spent by the person looking to get the job filled haggling with the people offeringto do the job. Its kind of like Facebook marketplace. I think the constant haglingis a bit of a turn off for repeatusageas itkills a lot of time. Would I useairtasker again. Absolutely. Is it worth 2 dollars a share. No way. How can a company doing 20 million a year be valued at 1 billion. No way. Not when there are other better investment options out there growing way faster, profitable, etc.... Again back to Redbubble.
