Paulb, you have to keep in mind, Chevron is U.S based, which always is a nice target for militants. Where as CVI has the ex-chairman of Angola Mining, plus numerous other contacts which actually act as cultural protection. Look into International Business 101 and how to successfully and safely enter into a developing nation. You do it slowly and with the developing nation's nationals leading the way.
