@Dee000 economics, law and post grad quals gave me insight into human behavior and how economics systems really work. The share market is brutal and I can't say I know people who have made fortunes clipping the market and kept them. That is the province of the big stakeholders, banks and brokers and their international networks who have the actual data at their fingertips to move you around and massage sentiment. BOTS are their tools and they do not pay brokerage. There are two simple rules for them once they have a company in their pocket - accumulation and dispersion. Great volumes generate profit from small percentage gains that the individual cannot do. You have to have a sizeable capital base to risk 2% of capital. Working on the margins means you cannot be away from the screen despite it being automated. Price happens after an event and sometimes you miss it by not paying attention to the news. Its the market makers who make the news and know which companies are in a financial position to execute programs because they have sought finance to do it. This is not the playground for a novice. Its better to hunt for companies who have a quality resource emerging in a new trade cycle like RNU, satisfy yourself the managers are competent. Once you think the fundamentals are sound, trade it on technical analysis. In speculative companies you have to weigh up risk and reward. I don't touch companies unless the ratio is equal to or greater than 3:1. You are thinking about growth, not income. If you get in early enough you can aspire to keep a core holding and trade some to reduce average costs if your mindset is long term. Decide who you are and find the trading style that gives less grief. Experience is the best teacher and never put on more than you can afford to lose. Winning is akin to running the gauntlet and don't fall in love with a stock. Been doing this for over 30 years. My old man said to me there was no money in farming, get educated. He was right about the school of hard knocks.
