In the long run we'd make more money from a stand alone, but a lot of people are more interested in a quick profit.
I'd be happy to go for a standalone if the projections were attractive. However, it's not really the small shareholders who will have much influence in this process.
If an offer is made for the company and accepted by the management, are shareholders forced to accept the offer when a certain threshold is reached ?
