2021 BRN Discussion, page-3939

Since we are talking about beginnings..
I first noticed Brainchip, because it was the most discussed stock on HotCopper, around 5 years ago..

I often looked at that list, just out of curiosity, but the name really grabbed me, as I've always been interested, in the concept of Artificial Intelligence.

I've always felt, that "true" A.I. needed to be independent and not like the old remote control cars, with a cable attached.. What fun!

I did actually buy shares in Formulabs Neuronetics (which some JO, compared to BRN a while back) for the same reasons and the company, although initially looking promising, went belly up..

I read the current releases on BRN and it too looked promising, but I didn't want to shove money, into just another "Good Idea"..
So I asked someone I'd known for many years, with a computer programming background, to check out the company and tell me what he thought.

He had never shown any interest at all, in the share market and especially the spec end, but 2 days later, he asked me "How do I buy shares in this company?"

I advised him about the risks of investing in this type of company many times, but he just kept buying and now has 5 times as many shares as me..
I don't think he even knows where the sell button is..

Interestingly, it only takes 6 times of selling, from 80000 shares, on news and then buying back at half, to reach over 5 million shares..
How many opportunities of that, have happened over the last 2 years, let alone 5?

I believe the problem is actually in knowledge.
It's very hard to sell something, even at a good price, when you know it's worth a lot more..
