What I think RonDog is saying here is that it was strange that Tom was not in an approved trading window so close to half-year results. Generally post-results is one of the only times management can trade as all the cards have generally been put on the table, and shareholders and management have a shared understanding of where the business is at. The fact the window closed again so suddenly post-results (or indeed never opened) might indicate there is another material deal underway at the moment not yet announced to market.
