    Force Open Definition | What Does Force Open Mean (ig.com)

    The "force open" option on IG was discussed here a few days ago.
    My understanding is that using this option, one can have open positions in opposite directions.
    But then when I try it (say buy when I have an existing short), it sill closes my original (short) position!

    Any suggestion on how to use it / what I am doing wrong?
