    Redmoon,

Glad someone else also stumbled across that one, and was baffled as to the context.

I am tending to the view that it has no meaning wrt FPA.

I am pleased to note that there are now some positive media/analyst commentators on the deal. Imho it is going to grow on people, and it looks to me like selling some FPA product into the Chinese market might be the first tangible and symbolically for positive sign.

Bongard ( and no doubt Gary Paykel and others) has done a superb job, and in the face of unrelenting flak.

If they can make this partnership work this really sets the company up for an order of magnitude growth over the next two decades imho. And if not it should still provide a boost in terms of market access, cost and in terms of getting a margin on competitor product coming into Australasia. Notably Haier were always going to sell into the Australasian market, FPA had no way of gaining access to the Chinese market solo.

To've tied further with Whirlpool would have been a 20th century solution, FPA has taken the bold step of grasping the realities of the next quarter of a century.
