Calcification is important as we know but only one piece of the brilliant puzzle that AVR has been able to solve.
AVR have the ONLY single piece 3D Adapt treated Aortic valve that gives it so many advantages. These advantages are in how it works better (larger EOA, smaller mean gradients etc), lasts longer (approaching 1 billion cycles on the bench), has a smaller French size (less invasive), can be delivered more easily (hybrid balloon expanding frame), and accurately (Commissural alignment) and most importantly is potentially a functional CURE for Aortic Stenosis - restores proper function like no other valve can do (proven in SAVR trial).
If DurAVR gets commercialised there will not be a valid reason for any other valve being used. We have some of the best TAVR Doctors in the world building this.
