When I look at my electricity bills I seem to be paying more than 11cents / kilowatt hr and I understand the retail rates are higher that 11c in VIC - then theres the bonus of being in control of your own power (I hear that a lot of price increases in the pipeline & many people like individual empowerment) ADD to that the environmental benefit
and the niche markets & I understand a lot of places in the world have expensive electricity than Australia.
IMO there is a significant market for this (so much so that some utilities rang CFU to say they did not beleive the efficiency figures they quoted)
The nuclear industry is a huge industry & I don't think CFU will make the nuclear industry obsolete - but even if it fills a small niche could be worth a lot more than it is now.
Also the world talking about the huge costs & complexity in reducing C02 emissions just 10 percent - some say we need 100s if not 1000s of nuclear power stations & as someone said it takes billions & several years to get 1 nuclear power station going - IMO CFU is offering a very competive alternative (as I say I think it will fit in the mix of alternatives I'm not saying it replaces them)
