RF is not just limited walkie talkies or mobile phones used for voice comms ....any electronic equipment emits RF and can pose interference issues if within the frequency bandwidth problematic to SKA. The requirements for radio-quietness are particularly stringent and require extremely low-level use of electronic and electrical equipment. So if any surveys programmed in the future for Combatant are using electronic equipment which we know is the case, then PUR will need to address these requirements before activity commences.

But i agree, more important progress is being made in other areas.
