i'm a little shocked that the moderators seem to be removing threads that are critical of the thumbs up/down system.

i agree with others - its a little bit of "fun" and a way to get more involved with a simple click of a button, but removing a post because some people are critical of it seems tome to be being a little over protective (i didnt say precious).

Perhaps rather than a thumbs up/down, a star system would be more helpful and better received - posts arent always a black and white "good" or "bad" - a 1 to 5 might give us a better range and more accurate opinions - still at the click of a button.
