It's like grapes in the Barossa mate, you never target the cask wine, you're after a good vintage. But if mother nature sends smoke and ash down your vineyard, you're stuffed, so off to the cask wine market you go!

The assumption from the announcement is that it is a hedge of finding water instead of gas! At least we get something out of the well instead of '0' if we found hot water instead of gas. I don't think they will be drilling a $20-$30 well unless it can make money or the money is granted to them by government or philanthropy.
