    I recall a thread (maybe on another stock) supported by a media article suggesting Westpac is shifting back to core banking services and offloading non banking related business

    very similar to;
    CBA & 1st State Super
    CBA & CommInsure
    ANZ NZ sold asset finance business to UDC Finance 2020
    ANZ sold wealth management business to IOOF in 2017

    more can be added to the list but my point is
    a shift amongst FinServices is alive & IP1 holders are in the hot seat
