The ABC defence will not and cannot be about Porter's guilt of the alleged rape as no such judicial outcome has been made. It will be about the widespread knowledge within government about the letter received and that was prior to the 4 corners report. It will also be based on knowledge in the general community about the alleged guilty party. I underlined general community because other than the media and posters on forums such as this the general bloke or woman in the street would be very unlikely to have known. A few internet searches by media, social media posters and others that are obsessed with political news when weighed up against the other 99% of aussies that had no idea or couldnt care less before Porter outed himself will favour the ABC.
