@picastoc - you should ask these sorts of questions over on the philosophy and religion thread, they 'know it all' - my simple response is that early Christianity - as preached by Jesus while on earth and later by his direct witnesses (not Paul, he was not a companion or witness) - his disciples - was not 'pure' for long and later church fathers eventually made various decisions which suited their particular philosophical bent, they also made Christianity into an organised religion and it also became more anti-feminist, whereas in original Christianity women believers were on an equal level with male believers, above all women Christians lost the hubris of 'uncleanness' which burdened Jewish woman half their lives - they could even celebrate mass, until the church 'fathers' took over. So back to Judas; I am only guessing here; he would have been cast as the 'bad boy' pretty soon after Jesus' sacrifice, even by his fellow disciples. I
I like 'the understanding heart' - it is something some people are born with, others learn in pain and suffering . . . and don't we love those who have it? Go well Taurisk
