Lowy Institue polling https://poll.lowyinstitute.org/charts/attitudes-to-global-warming/ shows that currently the majority (56%) of Australians consider that global warming "is a serious and pressing problem. We should begin taking steps now even if this involves significant costs...". .....
Last year it was 61% , the highest it had been since that nadir of 32% in 2012 at a time when Tony Abbott was spreading lie after lie about AGW.
Add together the 34% who think that "The problem of global warming should be addressed, but its effects will be gradual, so we can deal with the problem gradually by taking steps that are low in cost." (ibid) and we have 90% of Australian voting public who accept the science.
The issue of price of electricity is an interesting mix of conservative alarmism and empty rhetoric unsupported by the facts as discussed by economists, AEMO and engineers.
It seems to me the only ones who are anti AGW are the small percentage who either cannot understand the issues or oppose for some reason.
