For example, you could ask me whether I am for doing something about climate change and I will jump up and down shouting "YES"! However if you ask me if I believed climate change was caused by mankind I would tell you to go and see a good psych! The other issue is just how was the poll conducted? Was it a randomised sample or one akin to standing on a street corner? And so on.
