from my experience a trust is good for splitting income ( you/ your partner and kids can get 1500 approx each), but if you make enough to be on an average above 30c in the dollar its probably suitable to have a pty ltd company "attached" to the trust so you dont pay over 30c in the dollar.
im no adviser but thats my set up, also with a super fund seperate
