Its a simple mistake and easily made. Split = more shares, whereas consolidation or reverse split = fewer shares.1:10
Some might say 1 for 10 (hence fewer shares) or some might say 1 to 10 (meaning more shares), in this case 10:1 perhaps wrongly interpreted as 10 to 1. As I say an easy slip or even just a typo, no biggie really.
so @Leavold , a good analogy: A drunk walks into a pizza shop and orders a $16 pizza. The pizza guy asks "would you like that cut into four pieces or eight pieces"? The drunk thinks for a moment and says "better make that eight, I'm really hungry".
So, this is a case of a 2:1 split as opposed to a 1:2 consolidation. More slices but the same pizza and price ($16). Four slices at $4 a slice or eight slices at $2 a slice. Hope this helps.
