There is a very good chance that the refinery will be one of the biggest consumers of energy from Sun Cable in the Darwin area.

That should give TNG some leverage when energy storage is being considered.

Both consortia have been granted major project status by the Federal Government. That should set the scene for collaboration between the two parties with the support and guidance coming from the Feds.

At the Singapore end, energy storage will be required too. I don’t think it is by accident that the VRFB agreement involves a Singapore based battery producer.
