Disturbingly, what the contrarians don't understand, is that without these measures we would be in the same boat as Brazil -- Melbourne tried hard to get there but draconian measures nipped it in the bud.
The vax is a different issue, I'm happy to have the rollout delayed forever as long as total idiots respect basic covid spread protocol , but they won't so the only other way is draconian measures when necessary . Everyone suffers due to the opinionated and disrespectful idiots.
