An open fund does have tax implications - due to the forced selling of assets.
However, I am not sure the disadvantages outweigh the problems of closed funds. Each to their own.
True, investors need to be patient.
It's natural for investors to be frustrated when paying very high fees for below index returns.
Fingers crossed faith is rewarded.
