You can never convince me that shorting a share you don't own is fair for the retail investors.
Never. You can quote all the extremes you like but it just doesn't cut it for me.
So banks during the GFC were not allowed to short, because of this ridiculous, immoral and would have ended up bank shares to be almost worthless......using your extreme example.
