I don’t think it’s bad, it’s just the current reality.
The reason the opportunity for BNPL and other credit services exists so strongly in the first place is because the banks sound like they haven’t wanted to offer much in that area.
You can’t have it both ways.
(However if anyone can convince a bank it’s worth operating in that segment, my bet would be on the company who does the e-KYC and credit checks for the banks).
