Current gold price means its about $70/gram. So if you have 1 gram dirt the notional value is $70. You never get 100% recovery in a gold plant. 90 or so is normal so let's call it $60 bucks a ton as is. Then your costs are mining, trucking and milling, plus a bit for administration. So by my maths surface gold will be worth more than deep gold because you dont have to move the crap out of the way first. Go you good thing! Good luck to ya if you have a decent parcel of this. Too bad if you dont!! Picked up a little more with my spare change last few days.
