Ok... after numerous calls to both Commsec & Rio.
The Ex-rights date is 17/6/09
Record Date is 22/6/09
That means u must buy share latest on 16/6/09 to settle on T+3 on 19/6/09 (fri) so that your shares are registered for the record date on 22/6/09 (mon)
This is my understanding of it.
The "mailing record date" on 11/6/09 is just the date they post(mail) the documents to shareholders. Ignore it I was told.
