Oh Fiendish one what does the ratio tell us,
is there an expectation for the ratio to increase?

Isn't the explanation for the relatively greater price drop in platinum, that the industrial (automotive) demand for platinum has come under pressure. (and future industrial prospects are threatened by the electric car)

But the explanation Gold and Platinum's subsequent rebound and future prospects are due to it's precious metal staus as distrust in flat currency increases with governments printing themselves into a debt hole that our children's children will be repaying.

So the price of Gold and Platinum should increase in tandem.
