Thank you for sharing your own experience.

I have only very limited trading experience, so no advice, just some "feedback".

You wrote "seeing how everyone here seems to be able to pick highs and lows and make tons and tons of money."

Two points here:

1) Many trading books say that you don't have to be able to pick tops and bottoms in order to make money. In fact, it can be dangerous sometimes, as you can't wait for confirmation before you enter a trade, in the fear of missing absolute tops and bottoms.

2) Is this also part of your reasons not taking profit. In other words, you want to demonstrate (to others or to yourself) that you have the skills to sell longs at the top and cover shorts at the bottoms.

I'm honest with what I think, because you're honest. And I apologize if you feel offended.
