..another angle here..and my god there are many..the chinese may see this as a great time to go for some of the juniors with good resources, as at a time when bhp/rio will be putting their cases to both aus and euro authoraties that they are not being monopolistic in their actions it would not look could to be coming in over the top and mopping up any surroundig assets...in which case they may be able to kill a couple of birds, never mind maybe being easier and cheaper in the long run..to get umc out of the way with a mgs deal
