Two concerning statements from an article at AFR...
"Although the Oz Board is obliged to consider the proposal, it is likely to make its decision public only if it determines it is superior to the Minmetals deal"
"However, Deusche Bank analyst Paul Young thought RBC and RFC were too late. He sensed a degree of exhaustion among the OZ board which, although not an excuse for rejecting the proposal, would be a factor in the decision."
With the apparent rejection of the proposal, so many questions (old and new) remain unanswered.
