I didn't post there wasn't any subsidies, I posted that it wasn't the only reason why Europeans are buying EV cars.
Unlike Australians Europeans have a social & environmental conscience even ones whose wealth was built on fossil fuels. They aren't clinging to the past like Australians.
Subsidies are being removed from countries where EVs have economic scale such as Norway.
Temporary subsidies are a common method to aid adoption of new technologies.
The stupidly of Australian governments has been shown in this area by the SA planning to start taxing EV cars prior to widespread adoption.
You still haven't addressed the point that car manufacturers are phasing out fossil fuel car production.
Australia does not have a choice about moving away from fossil fuel powered cars.
