You would only have short-sold the BBI ords if you knew the SPARCS meeting resolutions were going to be defeated.

Although I voted to convert, I also voted for the amendments at the meeting to go through (as I expected them to), but when they did not go through, at least I had my bases covered.

But I was not in possession of knowledge the vote was going to fail, so therefore it would not make sense for me to short BBI.

Only those who had the knowledge would have shorted BBI.
