Capex is lower than the 90Ktpa KLL operation but Kalium has the option to significantly upscale on same site. APC doesn’t provide a plan for expansion.
These small projects were always looking challenged when it comes to capital intensity.
Whether you see good value depends on whether you think they can command as large a share of the so called premium market as they would like us to think. I reckon having a trademarked product will mean FA when big producers enter the market and I’m not convinced APC will be producing anything that the peers won’t be able to produce and hence some of my cynicism about relying on high SOP prices. Time will tell.
