I thought the Perth area was doing well, page-251

Well, you might turn around and say - it shows how far Perth has to rise, to sell for what its worth. Which means increased demand to achieve it. Where will increased demand come from? I think three things:
    1. Jobs and wages on offer - the workforce shortage is set to get worse, not better from here, and its got the kicker of mining/resources companies now, due to Covid, saying "you want the job, you move to WA, so we don't have to deal with heightened covid risk and border closures, re the other states".
    2. Isolation is suddenly a virtue not a disadvantage - suddenly, that desert and ocean, and relatively low population, is an absolute positive. Safest Place on Earth, Perth, I still say its a nice slogo. Particularly with those forecasts that say covid is just a step (SARS/MERS/Covid-19) to the really, really bad one (sorry to say it all, but those are the projections). And its where the strictness of the mining level of health and safety being able applied across the state to a level, a real benefit.
    3. Perth becoming overall a much cooler place to live: you've got all the unis moving into the CBD under the city deal, a $100M international level film studio being built in Freo, and online gaming and CGI being specialities actively pursued. Plus the folk who are moving from Hong-Kong etc, to Perth, because it means they stay in the same time zone. We'll have the money (Scomo has confirmed no one is touching the GST), the resources, the lifestyle - and, the word getting out there. See Kate Walsh for details - she's confirmed already, as someone who has dived and scuba'd all over the world, she's never seen the level of healthy coral reefs and fish at Ningaloo, anywhere else. https://thewest.com.au/entertainment/greys-anatomy-star-kate-walsh-heaps-praise-on-wa-premier-mark-mcgowans-handling-of-covid-19-pandemic-ng-b881699607z

    Let's see.
