Jesa, the two majors in oz, BHP and RIO are building up huge walls of cash from their iron operations in W.A, a lot on commentators say both are in need to add another tier 1 mine to their stable. However BHP and RIO have questionable records when it comes to acquisitions. BHP has Magna Copper, its merger with Billiton,its US shale gas and oil buys. Will one of them pull the buy lever?
