Biswas noted there was no sign the heat was coming out of valuations of gold assets, with the $903 million paid by Regis Resources for a 30 per cent stake in the Tropicana gold mine an example that asset prices remain strong.
While he believes further consolidation is inevitable, he said Newcrest will only do deals where it can add value to an asset.
The writing's on the wall!...Newcrest will only buy out companies that will add value to their assets. Antipa is in prime position to get bought out, in Newcrest's boss own words,... INEVITABLE!!!
