Just a guess - whilst the name SMX is unambiguous, the name Data-inCrypt could mean either a) SMX b) the online backup software or c) the subsidiary company itself.
SMX is marketed and sold by Data-inCrypt. The full name of the product is "Data-inCrypt SMX" and it is often referred to just as SMX.
The product called Data-inCrypt refers to the online backup and recovery solution.
So if someone asks a question like "when will Data-inCrypt sales take off?" this could possibly be interpreted as asking when will sales of Data-inCrypt (being backup and recovery) or Data-inCrypt SMX (being secure registered email) will take off.
I see it as a bit like saying "I'm having a problem with Microsoft" - do you mean Microsoft Word, Microsoft Windows or Microsoft Corporation?!
