Macquarie group, GS and Bell potter are all in bed and do a lot of business together and cross promotion, PH shares were released from escrow on Nov 27 right about the same time the short position started to go parabolic,
The evidence is there in the broker data that Macquarie and GS have been providing the shares for Shorting.
Macquarie bank hold the shares as collateral and as far as I am aware they can give them out on loan if they so choose, I'm not saying that's what's going on and this could all just be a massive coincidence and Maquarie and GS could well have access to many more of their clients IMU shares to loan so the PH shares may not have made any difference to this scenario, but I am saying it would definitely be interesting to see if the shorting stops at 107,126,062.
