You cant open articles from the AFR without buying a subscription (the business model is flawed imo, because I steadfastly refuse to buy it) ... so here are links to a similar article in the SMH that you can open.

I am not yet sure why this is good news for Cougar ... but I think it is ... perhaps it is because DI shows real ticker and determination to go the clean coal route ... their investment in Cougar is but a modest diversification on the same theme.
