qld gas heats up

Two announcements over the past 24 hours have highlighted the importance of Qld csg reserves.

The first from Shell confirmed its Queensland LNG project could be as big as those of its big oil rivals, as the race to export gas from Australia's east coast continues to hot up.
In an document lodged with the state's Government, Shell said it was hoping to build an LNG plant capable of shipping up to 16 million tonnes a year of gas thru four trains.

The second from the Rudd Govt has signalled that it wants Australia’s oil and gas reserves developed as soon as possible; to speed this it wants to end the practice of companies sitting on retention leases. Gas reserves are specifically mentioned in the Govt's paper.

The timing of these two is surely not coincidental.
To feed it's four train LNG plant in Gladstone Shell will need a large and sustained supply of coal seam gas.
Arrow Energy is the obvious supplier, but will it's reserves be sufficient as it stands at the moment?

Do further reserves have to be found and proven, or even 'unlocked' from another long term holder?

    What's your opinion.
