Despite Sanjeev Gupta’s pleas for more time to secure financing, it is extremely doubtful that GFG Alliance/Liberty Steel can be saved in its present form. The mostly likely outcome is selling all of the assets and getting rid of Gupta. “Gupta is toxic,” one analyst said. “Just talking with him could ruin your reputation.”

Sanjeev Gupta’s “global advisory board” has been temporarily suspended. (Read its over. Who in the hell would serve on a board with Gupta after all his financial shenanigans?) The board was composed of politicians (of course), economists, and market gurus and was to “guide the GFG Alliance in delivering its strategic priorities and achieving best practice.
