Skolly, with all due respect I asked you to look at the period of 1970-1980.

Below are two graphs that refute your "absolute" theory that gold goes down when interest rates go up. Not the best pics, I grant you but time is limited.
Please note that Interest rate, gold AND inflation all went up during this period. The only thing missing from today is an acknowledgement from the market that inflation is on the rise. IMO, this will happen some time this year. And it should also trigger a long overdue move away from growth to value in the equity market.
